Columbus indiana miller house – The city of Columbus, located in the state of Indiana, in the United States, is an example of current and unique patronage within the architecture of the 20th century. Miller needed to reflect in his own home the new image he wanted for his city through a modern and transgressive architecture with what was established in single-family homes in the United States, which he could take to his clients and future investors as part of the new Columbus.
The house Miller, maintains a few lines very similar to the Irwin Union Trust Bank, only that in this case is not a single box but four that are based on the floor plan, under a large horizontal slab that forms the roof, responding to functions differentiated from the Miller family: area of marriage, area of the children, kitchen area and area of the guests.

These four large boxes are articulated around a common space (figure 10) of stay and connection between them, which opens to the outside through large windows, as in the case of the bank. It was again Dan Kiley who was in charge of creating the garden around the house, taking Saarinen’s plant as a starting point to continue his scheme to the outside.
