Another highlight is Purisma Creek Canyon, which houses rivers, flowers and various trees. This Open Nature Reserve is located on the slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains and is part of a larger green system known as the Midpen Peninsula Regional Open Space District. The entire Open Space covers 17 cities and 62,000 hectares of beautiful land. The aim of the green belt system is to preserve land and provide recreational activities for all who visit. These include various guided hikes and many activities for each season that will be liked by the whole family.
